Testimonials from the 2026 APCR Scholarship Recipients
My time at AAR through the APCR Scholarship was incredibly valuable and meaningful. I attended APCR presentations that directly relate to my role, particularly sessions focused on communication between residencies, collaboration between coordinators and program leadership, and practical ways to improve our processes. These discussions were not only relevant, but immediately applicable to the work I do every day.

In addition, I had the opportunity to attend sessions that addressed issues important to radiology in general. The presentations were extremely enlightening, but I also greatly appreciated the opportunity to comment/ask questions following each session. I was able to develop a better understanding of other programs and the challenges in our field that I hadn’t previously considered. It was energizing to be part of conversations that look beyond individual programs and focus on the bigger picture.

Most importantly, this experience allowed me to connect with other coordinators. Through these conversations, I realized how many challenges we share, as well as how differently we each navigate them. That sense of shared experience, combined with the diversity of perspectives, reinforced how strong and supportive this community truly is. AAR and APCR foster a space where collaboration, learning, and growth are encouraged, and it is a community I genuinely want to remain involved in as we work together to improve and expand for the future.

~Julia Zygmunt, Interventional Radiology Program Coordinator, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

I am truly grateful for the opportunity the APCR scholarship afforded me to attend AAR's 2026 Annual Meeting. It was a unique and meaningful experience to be surrounded by program coordinators, new and seasoned, who are passionate about what they do. I was able to ask my burning questions, gain diverse perspectives, and gather practical suggestions and updates to share with my program director. I especially valued the roundtables, where I joined informal, focused discussions with peers who understand the nuances of radiology education. I may have arrived as a stranger, but I left having met many wonderful people, with connections and a sense of community that I will carry forward.
